Darlington Register Office Launches New Initiative.
What is Tell Us Once?
'Tell Us Once' is a national project by the Department of Works and Pensions (DWP) and Darlington Borough Council is working in parnership with the DWP to deliver the service.
As part of attending the Register Office to Register a Birth or Death, customer will be offered the Tell Us Once Registration as part of their appointment at which the Registrar will notify on their behalf, a number of government departments and local authority services. These departments and services will then contact the customer direct removing the need for the customer to contact them individually at a challenging time for them.
Making families aware of this new service is vital for its success.
To be able to gain all the benefits of this new service a family needs to take with them the following items:-
- Date of Birth and National Insurance Number
